UNDERSTANDING OWN RESPONSE TO BODY IMAGE Task 1.3 30/6/17

2  when online, watching TV or listening to the news who is underrepresented and why ?
when answering this think about day to day life and the people we depend on

The Army is underrated because they fight and help save the country we live in but footballers get more money than them for kicking a ball in a net.

This is the what they do to protect their country  and stay ready and fit for service

Using Aural Skills in Music 4.2 16/6/17

Task 4.2
Listen to a range of music with contrasting styles from
Opera singing, soul singing, Pop music to Rap and talk about the differences in articulation and the importance of how words or notes are expressed and how this gives meaning to the song

Bugzy Malone fire in the booth debut
The lyrics in this tune are very intense this is because it is a real life story
his delivery is fast but very clear and you can understand every word the song is very dark and this shows in how his words are delivered he sounds angry and this comes across in the sound of his voice . the sound of his voice is very important to the song to make it believable.

Dr.Dre- I Need A Doctor ft. Eminem,Skylar Gray
The lyrics in this tune are upsetting because it tries to remind you of someone you might have lost or they left. Its slow when the chorus kicks in but the verses are fast because they're rap. Her singing calms the tune down but when Eminem raps it makes it sound like he's mad at Dre. The contrast between the singing and rapping is good because there 2 different things and they help the tune flow.

Nessun Dorma

The lyrics and the flow make you feel tired and drowsy when your listening this music is quite relaxing. It also makes me curious to know he is talking about because its a different language. Its reminds me of a song that would suit the movie titanic. His voice is powerful and they way he sings is what makes you feel his lyrics.

Using Aural Skills in music Task 3.2 16/6/17

Task 3.2
Using the same selection of songs point out where notes have been lengthened or shortened these notes can be vocal or instrumental, talk about how changing the length of notes can impact on an expression or the articulation in a song

BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY
The beginning of the song is when the notes are long these notes that they're singing the notes in the first verse there long the second section that sounds like an opera the notes get shorter this has a scary and confusing effect on the sound  in the guitar solo the note are long this has a rock feel and makes you want to nod your head at the end the notes are long this gives the song a sad ending . The different note  sizes make the song very interesting and helps to tell the story

BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY

This song starts off very slowly with just soft vocals the first change is at mama where the drums come in it becomes like a rock song. this section makes you feel like you are floating and in a peaceful place . The next section is like an opera with very short notes and it sounds like an echo then in the next section with just vocals it started to feel a bit weird and scary it began to get louder and the rhythm began to be a stomping sound. The guitar solo makes you feel like your on a ride at a theme park it a upbeat section. At the final section the beat slows right down and chills out and begins to sound like chilled elevator music
